Finding spas and hair salons in Bali is simple — but there's a shortage of specialised care for curly hair, especially against the challenges of sun exposure and saltwater. Many salons offer a rushed, one-size-fits-all experience that leaves curls without the long-term care they need, and clients frustrated when it matters most.

The Curl Studio Bali exists to close that gap.

Before The Curl Studio Bali, Kali built her career as a hairstylist in Australia. Then Bali happened, the warmth, the people, the slower way of living and it stopped being somewhere she visited, and became home.

But something didn't add up. Bali's spas knew how to help her slow down. Its hair salons didn't technically capable, but rushed, with little room to listen or educate. She felt it personally too: humidity, sun, hard water, her own hair carried the effects of island life.

One question stayed with her:

Why can't visiting a hair salon feel as peaceful and restorative as visiting a beautiful spa?

That question became
